LARA: Granada Sivan Rotem is one of the most praised singers of Israel and has sung with all the major orchestras including The Jerusalem Symphony and The Israel Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta. She has performed various roles with The New Israeli Opera and with Opera San Jose. She got standing ovations for her portrayal of Violetta in La Traviata conducted by Gerard Schwarz and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with Seattle Opera. She sang at the Savonlinna Opera Festival in Finland and with the Symphony orchestras of Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, Utah, Vancouver, Bochum and Krakov. She gave recitals in Sydney, San Francisco, Madrid, Seville, Graz and on the Austrian National Television. Born in Buenos Aires, she started her musical training as a violinist. She holds degrees in English and Literature from Haifa University and graduated the Buchman- Mehta Music Academy at the Tel Aviv University in voice. She furthered her vocal studies with Mrs. Ellen Faull in the USA. |
